Former FBI Director James Comey said the Justice Department had demonstrated it was no longer apolitical after it dismissed criminal charges against retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

“The DOJ has lost its way,” Comey said in a Thursday afternoon tweet.

Indicating that his frustration lies with the top brass at Attorney General William Barr's Justice Department, Comey also urged career employees to stay at their jobs. “America needs you,” he said. “The country is hungry for honest, competent leadership.”

Flynn, who served as President Trump’s first national security adviser for less than a month, pleaded guilty in 2017 to lying to the FBI about his conversations with a Russian diplomat before Trump entered the White House.

He's right, The DOJ has lost its way, but not the way he means it. It went off the Rails when Janet Reno was around and has never been on the tracks until now. Still, awaiting prosecutions, dismissals, etc.

Comey and all the other co-conspirators in the coup against Trump should be indicted, convicted and dispatched for sedition and treason.  Anything less, and this nonsense most certainly  will happen again.

The DoJ “lost its way” because of people like James Comey. His outsized ego and arrogance blinds him to the fact that he’s part of the problem...not part of the solution.
