Mike Pence: A Million Vials Of Remdesivir Being Shipped To Hospitals

Vice President Mike Pence announced that a million vials of the potential coronavirus treatment drug remdesivir will begin appearing in hospitals across the country by Monday.

The announcement comes days after White House coronavirus task force member Dr. Anthony Fauci said he was “optimistic” about the drug’s potential use as a treatment for COVID-19. The drug, developed by pharmaceutical company Gilead, has been shown to improve recovery speed by almost 30 percent according to a recent study.

It is very interesting that Gilead just got FDA approval yesterday but already have 1 million doses ready to ship on Monday.  @catfish1957 ...oops that isn't what the media said Pence said, is it?  They report doses will start showing up Monday.  I remember VP Pence promising a million tests in a week and 4 million by the following week 7 weeks ago https://www.vox.com/2020/4/28/21239661/mike-pence-coronavirus-testing-promises

Maybe the press is waiting for clarification on if begin appearing means 5 doses or 50,000?
