New York Times calls on DNC to investigate Tara Reade allegations

The New York Times editorial board is calling on the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to investigate Tara Reade's sexual assault allegations against former Vice President Joe Biden.

“His campaign, and his party, have a duty to assure the public that the accusations are being taken seriously,” the editorial board wrote in an editorial published Friday evening.

“The Democratic National Committee should move to investigate the matter swiftly and thoroughly, with the full cooperation of the Biden campaign.”


In March, Reade accused Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993 when she was a Senate aide. Biden on Friday publicly denied the allegations for the first time on MSNBC’s "Morning Joe."

Of course, the DNC.  Notice how, whether they want the outcome to be "innocent" (Biden), or "guilty" (any frat boy whose hot date had regrets a week later and ran to some functionary in her college's Office of Student Life), the Left always wants sexual harassment charges to be "investigated" by a body incompetent to conduct investigations (the DNC or a university-confected Star Chamber) without any standards of evidence or due process, and so constituted that it has an interest in finding the Left's desired outcome.

The only way that would not be a shamvestigation is if the DNC wanted an excuse to ditch Biden. But since there seems to be no strong alternative, IMO, I think it would be Full Sham Ahead.

The only reason the times is pursuing this is because someone else is behind the effort, pushing them to make an opening for a replacement.

Who could that be...?
