Ohio Gov. Backs Off on Mandatory Face Masks: 'People Felt Offended by That'
By Susan Jones | April 29, 2020 | 4:45am EDT
(CNSNews.com) - Ohio's Republican Gov. Mike DeWine said "pushback" from the public prompted him to change his mind about making face masks mandatory for customers.
"People felt offended by that," he told Fox News's Martha MacCallum on Tuesday night.
In the order issued on Tuesday, DeWine "strongly recommended" that everyone wear face coverings in public, and he announced that face coverings will be mandatory for employees of reopened businesses.

How about:
The state won't compel you to wear a mask, but...
... the choice will be left to individual businesses, whose decisions will be final in this matter.
