Switzerland Is Sending Hope and Strength to the USA: US Flag Projected Onto Iconic Matterhorn Over Zermatt

INCREDIBLE! As a sign of solidarity, the American flag was projected onto the Matterhorn last night.
Switzerland is sending hope and strength to the United States of America.

Artist Gerry Hofstetter prepared the projection from the nearby town of Zermatt. A local tourism agency, Zermatt Matterhorn, shared the technologically impressive display to the world in a press release, sharing the well wishes of the people of Zermatt with Americans.

“As it stands, the USA, is the country that has been most impacted by the COVID-19 crisis with the highest number of confirmed cases.

“Our thoughts are with all American people at this unprecedented time.

“May our message convey solidarity and give you hope and strength.

“We look forward to meeting again at the foot of the Matterhorn, we are all in this together.”

I think we should all appreciate the good wishes, but in acutality, in cases per capita, Switzerland is 11th in the world, and we are 19th.  At least at the exact right minute (per world meter).  Our large population as a whole skews the numbers.
