Supreme Court to hear oral arguments over telephone on Trump financial records, religious liberty, and Electoral CollegeWashington Examiner, Apr 13, 2020
The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments over telephone in the month of May.
Monday's announcement, which listed arguments for cases involving President Trump's financial records, religious liberty, and the Electoral College, comes during widespread shutdowns around the country in adherence to social distancing guidelines designed to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
"The Court will hear oral arguments by telephone conference on May 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 in a limited number of previously postponed cases," the Supreme Court said in a statement. "In keeping with public health guidance in response to COVID-19, the Justices and counsel will all participate remotely. The Court anticipates providing a live audio feed of these arguments to news media. Details will be shared as they become available."
Two cases, Trump v. Vance and Trump v. Mazars USA, LLP, pertain to subpoenas issued by the District Attorney of New York County and the House Oversight Committee for Trump's financial records.
