U.S. gave $3.7million grant to lab at center coronavirus scandal
Frances Mulraney

The Chinese laboratory at the center of scrutiny over a potential coronavirus leak has been using U.S. government money to carry out research on bats from the caves which scientists believe are the original source of the deadly outbreak.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology undertook coronavirus experiments on mammals captured more than 1,000 miles away in Yunnan which were funded by a $3.7 million grant from the US government.

Sequencing of the COVID-19 genome has traced it back to bats found in Yunnan caves but it was first thought to have transferred to humans at an animal market in Wuhan.

If this is true we could be as responsible for worldwide pandemic as China.  Is it any wonder in March Trump talked to the Chinese Dictator saying they were working together and he had much respect.  This article omits when we supposedly started sending this funding.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

@TomSea

This came from a British Tabloid.  Unless there is real proof, this is merely a tabloid story to make the US look guilty.  We know that the Chinese are guilty.  The lab is in Wuhan.  The virus escaped from Wuhan.  I don't think it came from wet market.  The responsibility is squarely on China.

Unless this story comes from a credible source I would say it is probably sent from China.  Whether they released it intentionally or intentionally.  They must take responsibility.  Trump should not believe one word from the Chinese dictator.  Certainly should not be promoting respect for them on twitter.  The horrors that come from the dictatorship in China deserve nothing but condemnation.

US Govt gave grant to Wuhan lab, claims British tabloid
As per reports, the Wuhan Institute of Virology believed to have undertaken experiments on mammals, received a grant of $3.7 million from the US Govt. As per The Mail on Sunday, scientists at the institute experimented on bats as part of a project funded by the US NIH, making it eligible for grants. Some theories accuse the lab of being the source of COVID-19 resulting from experiments on bats.

Responsible for the biomedical and public health research the NIH has been listed as a partner by the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The other American institutes that have partnered with the research lab, include: University of Alabama, University of North Texas Eco Health Alliance, Harvard University, and the United States National Wildlife Federation.

Sounds legit, more from the article:

Hitting out at the US government, US Congressman Matt Gaetz said: "I'm disgusted to learn that for years the US government has been funding dangerous and cruel animal experiments at the Wuhan Institute, which may have contributed to the global spread of coronavirus, and research at other labs in China that have virtually no oversight from US authorities."

Anthony Bellotti, president of the US pressure group White Coat Waste, criticising the US government for spending tax dollars in China, said: "Animals infected with viruses or otherwise sickened and abused in Chinese labs reportedly may be sold to wet markets for consumption once experiments are done."

So, Representative Matt Gaetz refers to it unless, that is false info too.

Trump administration ended pandemic early-warning program to detect coronaviruses

LA Times by  Emily Baumgaertner, James Rainey 4/2/2020

https://www.latimes.com/science/story/2020-04-02/coronavirus-trump-pandemic-program-viruses-detection

Quote
Two months before the novel coronavirus is thought to have begun its deadly advance in Wuhan, China, the Trump administration ended a $200-million pandemic early-warning program aimed at training scientists in China and other countries to detect and respond to such a threat.

The project, launched by the U.S. Agency for International Development in 2009, identified 1,200 different viruses that had the potential to erupt into pandemics, including more than 160 novel coronaviruses. The initiative, called PREDICT, also trained and supported staff in 60 foreign laboratories — including the Wuhan lab that identified SARS-CoV-2, the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

The PREDICT project, launched in response to the 2005 H5N1 “bird flu” scare, gathered specimens from more than 10,000 bats and 2,000 other mammals in search of dangerous viruses. They detected about 1,200 viruses that could spread from wild animals to humans, signaling pandemic potential. More than 160 of them were novel coronaviruses, much like SARS-CoV-2.

The program also trained nearly 7,000 people across medical and agricultural sectors in 30 countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East to help them detect deadly new viruses on their own. One of those labs was the Wuhan Institute of Virology — the Chinese lab that quickly identified SARS-CoV-2, Mazet said.

Hope it isn't.  Waiting to hear it from our government.  Trump White House COVID briefing?

Did I miss when this grant was given? What year was the spending bill written and who was at the helm? Questions that I think are very important but don't mitigate that whoever it was I find it incredulous that we would assist an adversary like China in the development of what could be a biological weapon that could be used against us.

Operations

PREDICT was launched in 2009 in response to the influenza A virus subtype H5N1 "bird flu" outbreak in 2005. It was designed and overseen by Dennis Carroll, then the director of the USAID emerging threats division,[2] with epidemiologist Jonna Mazet of the University of California, Davis as its global director.[3] The program was one of four projects within USAID's Emerging Pandemic Threats program, the others being RESPOND, IDENTIFY, and PREVENT.[4]

Funding and closure

PREDICT operated on five-year funding cycles,[5] receiving about $200 million over the course of its decade in operation.[7] Fieldwork ceased at the end of September 2019 after funding ran out, and the program was ended in March 2020 by the Trump administration,[8][5] which has also cut funding for other global health security programs.[5]

REVEALED: U.S. government gave $3.7million grant to Wuhan lab at center of coronavirus leak scrutiny that was performing experiments on bats from the caves where the disease is believed to have originated

The US National Institutes of Health, a government agency, awarded a $3.7million research grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology
The lab is the center of several conspiracy theories that suggest it is the original source of the coronavirus outbreak

They were captured more than 1,000 miles away in Yunnan
Sequencing of the Covid-19 genome has traced it to bats to Yunnan's caves

The Chinese laboratory at the center of scrutiny over a potential coronavirus leak has been using U.S. government money to carry out research on bats from the caves which scientists believe are the original source of the deadly outbreak.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology undertook coronavirus experiments on mammals captured more than 1,000 miles away in Yunnan which were funded by a $3.7 million grant from the US government.

Sequencing of the COVID-19 genome has traced it back to bats found in Yunnan caves but it was first thought to have transferred to humans at an animal market in Wuhan.

The revelation that the Wuhan Institute was experimenting on bats from the area already known to be the source of COVID-19 - and doing so with American money - has sparked further fears that the lab, and not the market, is the original outbreak source.

Lawmakers and pressure groups were quick to hit out at U.S. funding being provided for the 'dangerous and cruel animal experiments at the Wuhan Institute'.

Obama's NIH Sent $3.7M to Wuhan Lab Where Coronavirus May Have Originated. Trump's Stopping It

Quote
Back in 2015, when Barack Obama was president, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) sent a $3.7 million grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a lab that grew coronaviruses and injected them into animals. It is quite feasible that the novel coronavirus responsible for the COVID-19 global pandemic leaked from that lab, and U.S. Intelligence sources have been saying that the virus came from a Level-4 lab in Wuhan. During his coronavirus press conference on Friday, President Donald Trump pledged to stop the funding.

"Why would the U.S. give a grant like that to China?" a reporter asked.

"The Obama administration gave them a grant of $3.7 million, I've been hearing about that, and we've instructed that if any grant going to that area — we're looking at it, literally, about an hour ago — and also early in the morning, we will end that grant very quickly," Trump said. "But it was granted quite a while ago. They were granted quite a substantial amount of money."
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.
