Maryland issues stay-at-home order for all residents

Maryland has issued a "stay-at-home" order for all residents, effective at 8 p.m. tonight, Gov. Larry Hogan (R) said Monday.
No Maryland resident should leave their home unless it's for an essential job or for an essential reason, Hogan said. Nonessential businesses must scale down their operations, and allow telework as much as possible, Hogan said.
"Unfortunately we are only at the beginning of this crisis, and it will get considerably worse before it gets better," Hogan said.
In addition, Hogan said any resident who has traveled outside the region in recent weeks should self-quarantine for 14 days.
