NBC’s Chuck Todd to Joe Biden: ‘Do You Think There Is Blood on the President’s Hands?’

Sunday on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” anchor Chuck Todd asked former Vice President Joe Biden if President Donald Trump had “blood” on his hands, given the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Biden said, “The coronavirus is not the president’s fault but the slow response, the failure to get going right away, the inability to do the things that needed to be done quickly. They are things that can’t continue. We are going to go through another phase of this. We have to be ahead of the curve, not behind like we were last time.”

Host Chuck Todd asked, “Your campaign put out in a critique of President Trump and said that if he doesn’t do these things, he could cost lives. Do you think there is blood on the president’s hands considering the slow response? Or is that too harsh of a criticism?”

Biden said, “I think that’s a little too harsh. I think what’s happening is the failure to, as I watched the — a prelim to your show, where someone said, used the phrase that the president just thinks out loud. He should stop thinking out loud and start thinking deeply. He should start listening to the scientists before he speaks. He should listen to the health experts. He should listen to his economists. For example, the United States Congress has a piece of legislation to help deal with the incredible financial crunch that’s going to affect working families and all families, the whole economy.”

Chuckie Todd,the lip-biting homo that is the show talking head now was so obviously feeding Biden questions in a rehearsed order to remind Biden of what he was supposed to read on the teleprompter.

Which made me mad,but no madder than usual when watching Meet the Depressed.

Had an unexpected moment of humor at the end,though. Chuckie asked his usual suspects what they thought of Trumps most recent statements,and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM had nothing but positive things to say.

Had Chuckie in obvious stress as he tried to ask counter-questions to spin it into something negative,and had no luck at all.

This what happens when not everyone is in the same studio at the same time,and can rehearse their lines.

The news media's practiced routine of asking accusatory and hostile questions of some, and supportive and friendly questions of others, utterly negates their validity.

Slow response? Trump started screening passengers arriving from China before China admitted human-human transmission was happening! And the travel ban was announced shortly after.
