Experts warn getting COVID testing results too late could make testing useless

So, do these hundreds of "unnamed experts" ever talk to one another?

Fred, you just won the lottery!

Imagine how much the book rights would be worth...

I don't know about winning the lottery but at least I qualify for Medicaid.

I don't know what a book is. Something about a fire. And rights were like so far back in time no one knows what they are anymore.

If I didn't know better and If I were the suspicious type,I MIGHT begin to suspect there was money being made giving these tests/

Gee,I wonder if anyone we know bought stock several months ago in any of the companies that provide the tests and/or gives them?

About one month ago, I was offered an unsolicited test by Quest, and separately by the VA.

During a previous discussion with my primary physician, he said tests only with symptoms. He also said antibody tests have high error rate. Therefore they can give false sense of immunity, and therefore encourage unsafe behavior.

I get my temperature taken every 2-3 days at physical therapy. So I'll use them and symptoms as my initial screen, unless a physician directs me otherwise.

I would say so and I'd also say that there are a whole lot of people making some money off of this "pandemic".  The Kushner brothers come to mind -- one of their companies was/is an Obamacare insurer.  Labs have to be making a boat load of money, big pharma research, medical supply companies, etc.

14-day Recovery Deficit - 1,014,933.

The 14-day recovery deficit surpasses 1 million.  It shows that 35.8% of cases at least 14 days old remain classified as 'unresolved'.  That is 1 million people who have survived/recovered, but are still listed as sick.  If those people were listed as 'Recovered', then our Recovery-to-death ratio would be 19.1.

Trump Administration official tells me that CDC was taking 7 WEEKS to compile & release key coronavirus stats.

Under pressure, CDC started reporting that data with 3 week lag.

So HHS took over data reporting from CDC.

HHS is able to compile & report this data daily.

So, the second peak that we are supposedly looking at more shut downs actually occurred 7 weeks ago?
Am I reading this right?

It has recently come to light that if a CV positive person is tested again that gets reported as another case and it's true no matter how many times that same person gets tested.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Thanks for repeating the explanation of the recovery deficit. I'd wager a good number of those are months old.

They are.  Case in point:  The Grand Princess cruise ship.  This ship docked in Oakland on March 9.  Three days prior, test kits had been given out to all the passengers.  A total of 103 (around 9%) tested positive.  Three of the 103 died.  The remaining 100 are still listed as active cases.  Not one is listed as recovered.  Not a single one.  It has been 133 days since the tests were given.  You would think that after four months, someone could classify these 100 persons as 'recovered'.  But no.

If you have no symptoms and thus not ever treated for anything, HOW can you recover?

Another great point.  Every asymptomatic person out there who tested positive will forever be considered an active case.
