@Fishrrman

Still, they need to be financially slapped upside their heads for selling ANYTHING to the freaking Chinese.
If that included Whirlpool, they can have it. We had a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer and should have spent our money on rebuilding old top loader washers and fixing up dryers with noncomputerized timers. We'd have had laundry machines for life for less.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Yes, Hospitals Get Paid More For Coronavirus-Coded Patients, Even If They Haven’t Been Tested

Snip:

Quote
“Right now Medicare has determined that if you have a COVID-19 admission to the hospital you’ll get paid $13,000,” Jensen said on the Fox program. “If that COVID-19 patient goes on a ventilator, you get $39,000; three times as much. Nobody can tell me, after 35 years in the world of medicine, that sometimes those kinds of things [have] impact on what we do.”
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

"Sometimes I think the Church would be better off if we would call a moratorium on activity for about six weeks and just wait on God to see what He is waiting to do for us. That's what they did before Pentecost."   - A. W. Tozer

Stop being so gullible, Bigun.

There is plenty of gullibility going around but I'm definitely NOT in that group!

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-

One of the lines in the graph below is different from any other there.

Are you logged in?

Seriously, it is a big page, slow load.

Just loaded for me in roughly a minute, but I have fiber. roughly 120 items on the page, and the COVID coin is near the bottom.

I'm pretty sure.  AOL did the phone dingy noise and then said I had mail.  I can reach alamo-girl's Clinton Body count and the Hampster Dance.
