Your error is in thinking that concern over Covid means lack of concern over other issues.

It’s been apparent from the beginning.
See? we're related.

Not good...why did roamer_1 leave??  So sad, I really enjoyed conversations with him.  Hopefully, he'll be back.  :crying:
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

It was seeded before the measures were put in place.

Measures were put into place weeks ago, long past the period where symptoms begin to show.

And some Governors were irresponsible and let it spread badly before they took those measures.  (Mayor DiBlasio in NYC was particularly irresponsible).

I live in Georgia.  SIP orders began March 23.  Twenty-one days later, new cases continue to pop up.

If there weren't restrictions, the numbers would be worse.

The difference would be minimal, and certainly not worth the huge economic suffering that has been poured out upon the nation.

Yeah, I sure miss hearing "Trumpy the Clown", adds so much to discourse.

Related to topic, yelling someone about what they post, calling it alarmist, funny how folks aren't taking to the censorship of that.

Previously, I had posted from my self-created spreadsheet that tracks the number of daily increases in the virus here in CT (statewide) and in SW CT (Fairfield County).

Here's the latest edition, and it doesn't look very good.

You'll note that from 4/9 to 4/12, the number of new cases here in FF County were declining each day -- what could be expected if we were "past the peak".

But then... look at what's happened over the past few days (4/13 - 4/15). The numbers "jumped right back up again", with a vengeance.

Re-open too soon here in Connecticut, and there's definitely gonna be "a second wave".
