Top Health Official Says Coronavirus “Attack Rate” in NY City is FIVE Times Rate of Other Cities — One in a Thousand Infected After DeBlasio Told New Yorkers to “Mostly Go About Daily Lives”

Dr. Deborah Birx announced on Monday that the coronavirus infection rate in New York City is five times the rate of other US cities.

Doctors are finding that over one-fourth of submitted specimens are testing positive from the the New York City area.

This comes after Mayor Bill DeBlasio told New Yorkers to “mostly go about their daily lives – sending children to school, frequenting the city’s businesses” as coronavirus was spreading in the community.

New York City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot mocked the fears of coronavirus and told New Yorkers to attend the annual Lunar New Year Parade in Chinatown back in February.

That was back on February 9, when the coronavirus was already ravaging Hubei Province in China.

The was AFTER President Trump banned air travel from China.
Yet this New York City official was mocking the threat facing her city!

Commissioner Oxiris Barbot is STILL the Health Commissioner in New York City.
