Explosions were heard near the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Sunday.

Two blasts went off in the capital, according to Reuters, but the cause was not immediately confirmed. Meanwhile, AFP reported that at least two rockets exploded near the Green Zone area in Baghdad. It is unclear where they landed, but sirens could be heard wailing in videos from the area.

The incident occurred just after Iraq’s Prime Minister-designate Mohammed Allawi withdrew his candidacy for the position.

President Trump wasn't the President I wanted in times of peace, even less so in times of crisis.
