Buttigieg campaign claims irregularities in Nevada caucus votes, seeks 'concrete' changes
MJ Slaby, IndyStar

The campaign for presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg wants the Nevada State Democratic Party to take a series of “concrete steps” to address what it alleges are “material irregularities pertaining to the process of integrating early votes into the in-person precinct caucus results.”

The campaign’s complaints come on the heels of caucus voting on Saturday in which Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders won a decisive victory. It follows a four-day early voting period unveiled by the Nevada Democratic Party to avoid the problems of the Iowa Democratic caucus.

Dated Feb. 22, the letter lays out the Buttigieg campaign's complaints and also points out the tight race for second place. However, a Nevada Democratic party spokesperson said results are still being verified and they have no plans to change their process.
