Bernie Sanders Loses It When Bloomberg Calls Him The ‘Best Known Socialist’ Who ‘Happens To Be A Millionaire With Three Houses’

Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders lost his cool when former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg called him the “best known socialist” who “happens to be a millionaire with three houses.”

A fiery end to what had already been a contentious Democratic primary debate, which included the billionaire businessman for the first time, was sparked by NBC anchor Lester Holt’s question to Sanders about two-thirds of voters being “uncomfortable with a socialist candidate for president.”

After seeming to question the poll’s results by pointing out his frontrunner status for the Democratic nomination, Sanders called Bloomberg’s earlier use of the word “communism” a “cheap shot,” contending his policies were more akin to “what goes on in countries like Denmark.”

Does Bernie know that “what goes on in countries like Denmark” is the socialists got elected by promising to severely restrict Muslim immigration to keep the welfare system afloat? And that's legal immigration, never mind the type of mass illegal immigration with full benefits Bernie thinks would be great for us.

Sanders used to be against open borders but I believe he has accepted it as a way to get elected.

 What countries like Denmark has and what Bernie Sanders wants are not similar. The Scandinavian countries have a welfare state that they’re finding out more and  more is becoming tougher  to pay for. But they are not Bernie Sanders socialist
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Those welfare states were built around a small, homogeneous, mostly like-minded population with low-priority, token military forces that are little more than extensions of the welfare establishment. As everywhere else, politicians get elected by promising short-term benefit levels that can't possibly be sustained long-term. They want to be admired as generous, but the reality is that even modest immigration speeds up their date of reckoning to the point where politicians can no longer count on retiring comfortably before punting the mess to the next generation.

Bloomberg might want to point out to Sanders that Denmark is nowhere near as populous, diverse or complex as the city he governed.

Bernie Sanders calls out MSNBC over campaign coverage
By Emily Smith
February 21, 2020 | 8:07pm

Bernie Sanders went ballistic at NBC and MSNBC execs ahead of the Democratic debate this week — jabbing one top TV exec repeatedly in the face with his finger and accusing the networks of offensive negative coverage.

Surging Sanders stormed through the walk-through for the Las Vegas debate, singling out one top producer at the end and aggressively sticking his finger in his face. One shocked witness said, “Bernie marched right up to NBC and MSNBC’s head of creative production and began jabbing his finger right in his face, yelling, ‘Your coverage of my campaign is not fair . . . Your questions tonight are not going to be fair to me.’ ” ...

Sanders’ campaign manager Faiz Shakir has said that even Fox News has been “more fair than MSNBC . . . which . . . is constantly undermining the Bernie Sanders campaign.” He told Page Six on Friday, “MSNBC has not been fair to our campaign. Their coverage is condescending on a daily basis. No other campaign gets such negative coverage. Enough is enough.”

MSNBC is fretting his nomination whereas FOX wants him to get lots of exposure

@Snarknado

A lot of the money that pay for all that nonsense comes from the sale of North Sea oil,in addition to the high taxes. They thought they could "adopt a few pets" to show the world how "evolved" they are,and it would be free because oil sales would pay for it.

I guess Venezuela had Denmark in mind, but they got Cuba instead.
