The Evansville Case

The Aging Rebel 2/10/2020

The outline of what is going on in Evansville, Indiana is starting to appear, as that iceberg appeared to the Titanic – too late.

Federal prosecutions get sold like any commodity. This thing is being sold as The Peaole of the United States versus The Grim Reaper Motorcycle Gang. It should more properly be called the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives versus Gary Wayne Forston, former president of the Evansville charter of the Grim Reapers and 14 other morons. This case is not about the Grim Reapers. This case is about a collection of idiots who wanted to be drug dealers but were too lazy to watch a couple of episodes of The Wire to get the hang of how the real drug dealers do it.

The very first sentence in the Department of Justice press release from last Friday reads: “United States Attorney Josh J. Minkler announced federal charges against 17 individuals, who are alleged to have operated a drug trafficking organization, some of whom are members and associates of the Evansville Grim Reapers Motorcycle Club, for bringing large quantities of methamphetamine into Evansville, Ind. and surrounding areas.” The key phrase is “some of whom are members and associates of the Evansville Grim Reapers Motorcycle Club.”

Need To Know

Here is all you really need to know. The investigation began around March 1, 2019 when defendant Forston posted a photo of himself posing in the Evansville clubhouse with a sawed off shotgun.

The indicted participants in the alleged “drug trafficking organization” are Gary Wayne Forston; Clarence Grubbs; Adam Lafferty; Shane Lewis; April Martin; Matthew Meredith; Paul Overby; Derek Sander; Jason Wilson; Jesse Wilson; Kimberly Wilson; Daniel Wiscaver; and Central Holman IV. Everybody except Wiscaver and Holman are from Evansville. Wiscaver is from Winslow, Indiana which is in the middle of nowhere about 90 miles south of Terre Haute and 40 miles north of Evansville. Holman is from Owensboro, Kentucky. Holman either manufactured or ran a drop house for the drugs.
