Union membership in Texas fell back to a historic low in 2019, data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows.

Texas union members accounted for only 4 percent of wage and salary workers last year, tied with 2016 for the state's lowest membership on record. Nationally, union members account for 10.3 percent of employed workers.
