President Trump wants to get back at those on his enemies list, and former national security adviser John Bolton is reportedly at the top.

"He has an enemies list that is growing by the day," a source told Vanity Fair on Monday. A "prominent Republican" added that "it's payback time" for Trump.

"Trump’s playbook is simple: Go after people who crossed him during impeachment," the person said, adding that additional possible targets could include Rep. Adam Schiff, Rep. Jerry Nadler, and Sen. Mitt Romney.

Several sources added that Bolton was the president's No. 1 target. Trump's plan of attack could include a criminal investigation into his former adviser.

"Trump has been calling people and telling them to go after Bolton," a source close to private conversations said, adding that the president wishes for Bolton to be criminally investigated.

I really don't have a problem with Trump wanting revenge, wouldn't anyone after being set up and lied about for years.

   I always had two fundamental questions that were never really answered to my satisfaction. 
   Why did Trump hire him and why did he accept?

I think Bolton is a man of principle.

And that principle was to be aggressive with nations in seeking these peace treaties, nuke deals, it be NK and Iran and in some cases, it might mean bombing these places, we didn't and I think that's why he has had a tantrum.

That's just my view, I'm not really meaning to begrudge him.  I've said it before, this is how he's lashing out.  I am disappointed.

TDS is not just an empty slogan. It is a very real diagnosable mental disorder. I feel sorry for those people. They are living a miserable life even now. Can't imagine what it will be like for them mentally next January.

The use of the made up journalistic term 'enemies list' in the article is deliberate, and it shadows the sham impeachment. Enemies List is a term that was first used by the media against Nixon. This is just another 'oh so subtle' way to say that Trump is the same as Nixon. That is the whole point of the author.

Funny how the media ignored Obama's very real 'Kill List' which he used to drop drones on thousands of people with no Congressional or Intelligence oversight. He simply did it entirely on his own. But he was a gay Black Muslim Democrat so...you know...that was acceptable. Obama quote, "I'm really good at killing people."

I doubt very much that Trump considers Bolton to be an 'enemy', more like a nuisance, like a crying baby is. Trump has dealt with disgruntled ex-employees all his life. Bolton is just another one like all the others.

Trump's philosophy with this seems to be, 'Just let him cry himself out. Then he will go to sleep.' Just all the others. Hillary, on the other hand, would have him 'suicided', as she has done with dozens of others.

Vanity Fair uses the words “enemies list” intentionally, because it recalls Richard Nixon’s “enemies list.” (Not to be confused with Emily’s List.)  Washington Post hated Nixon and were instrumental in bringing down the president.
