Pelosi calls senators who voted against trial witnesses 'accomplices to the President's cover-up'
By Tal Axelrod - 01/31/20 08:07 PM EST

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) ripped senators who voted against approving further witness testimony in the Senate’s impeachment trial against President Trump, saying the lawmakers were part of a “cover-up.”

“The Senate Republicans’ vote against calling witnesses and compelling documents in the impeachment proceedings makes them accomplices to the President’s cover-up,” she said in a statement.

The Senate voted by a 51-49 margin to bar witnesses from appearing before the chamber in its impeachment investigation. Sens. Susan Collins (Maine) and Mitt Romney (Utah) were the only Republicans to join all 47 Democrats in voting to approve the witness measure.

How is is a "cover-up"?  We can be 100% sure that the Dems' media allies are going to be interviewing these people until the end of time.  Whatever it is they have to say, will get said.  So nothing is being "covered up."

What is happening is that the Senate isn't going to waste more valuable legislative time calling witnesses who wouldn't change the central issues.

LOL!  You'll love this.

Mark Levin suggests that Mitch McConnell should vote to acquit immediately and give the Democrats 48 hours for each of them to go to the well of the Senate and tell the world why they voted the way they did, etc..

He said it should be Saturday and Super Bowl Sunday.      :smokin:

Methinks Pelosi is not making any new friends in the Senate.

These remarks are solely for print in the SF newspapers.
