Germany’s Energiewende (transition to green energies) is driving up prices

For a long time, electricity prices have known only one direction: upwards! Ever faster, ever more clearly. Now the shock for many families: The Federal Government has presented official figures in an answer to an inquiry from the FDP Free Democrats parliamentary group in the Bundestag and announced the true extent of the electricity price increase.

320 euros extra annually per household

In the past ten years, the price of electricity for households and industry has risen by a third. According to the Augsburger Allgemeine, which quotes from the paper, the price of electricity rose by 35 percent between 2009 and 2019. For a typical household with 4,000 kWh per year, this means 320 euros in additional costs for electricity alone.

This is even more than the various comparison websites had previously calculated.

8% hike

BILD expresses how drastic it is: “The electricity price wave is sweeping over Germany! Now the energy giants Innogy, RheinEnergy and Vattenfall are also raising prices by eight percent”. Millions of households are affected.

Unintended consequence with roots no doubt in this global warming hoax.

Wonder how Joe Q Public is gonna react here to Greta when their electric bills reach $1000/month.

Well,SOMEBODY has to pay for the electricity used by the penniless Muslims now calling Germany "home",and THEY spent all their money paying for bribes and transportation to get to Germany so they could retire in place.

You don't really expect them to live in the dark with no heat,do you?

German wind energy is in a crisis – “Five times the amount of wind turbines are needed.”

Like these wind turbines up  there, Germany’s energy turnaround just isn’t turning around the way the smart people who planned it planned it. To turn around.  Unless turning around and around  in circles counts.

A mere 1078 megawatts worth of wind turbines were built last year – nearly 80 percent lower than the 2017 level.

Eine Windkraft-Leistung von gerade mal 1078 Megawatt wird im vergangenen Jahr installiert – fast 80 Prozent weniger als noch 2017.

German Wind Projects Hit Intense Citizens’ Protests, Dividing Once Harmonious Communities
By P Gosselin on 28. January 2020

Despite phony wind lobby surveys claiming that 85% of Germans support an expansion of wind power (and only a 5% fringe oppose),  German wind park projects have hit the brick wall of intense citizens protest. ...

In the region of Odenwald/Rothenberg, a planned additional wind farm of 13 turbines, each 250 meters tall, on the ridge between Rothenberg and Beerfelden was met with fierce protest from 300 demonstrators, reports regional online site fact.de here.

According to Fact.de, “It was a strong appearance of the young Rothenberg citizens’ initiative proNatur, with support from many parts of the Odenwald. ...

Wind energy opposition has become an extremely  polarizing issue in Germany, one that has led to bitter divisions in once peaceful communities, especially those in rural areas. ... Full story at NoTricksZone

Ineffective blight on the environment these bird choppers are.

They are proof positive of how dim witted leftists are.

They deserve the prices they get for this faux energy.

Large majority of Germans support wind power rollout – survey
Wind

Clean Energy Wire
A stable majority of people in Germany support the continued rollout of wind power in the country, according to a survey conducted by pollster forsa and commissioned by the agency for onshore wind power (Fachagentur Windenergie an Land). Eighty-two percent of respondents said the rollout and use of onshore wind power as part of the country's energy transition was very important or quite important. This level of agreement has remained broadly unchanged since 2015. Roughly half of respondents said they already lived near wind turbines. Of those, a large majority (78%) said they approved of the installations. Of those people who did not already have the technology in their vicinity, 70 percent said they would have "no" or "less serious" concerns about the construction of turbines.

Onshore wind power is a key element of Germany's energy transition and a leading force in the country's renewables industry. But a lack of space, increasingly restrictive distance regulations between wind turbines and residential areas, as well as a string of lawsuits have brought the rollout almost to a standstill this year, pushing the sector into a crisis. To increase public acceptance, 82 percent of survey respondents said it is important to make sure that municipalities can use income from wind power to increase the local quality of life. Seventy-nine percent named cheaper electricity and 66 percent the integration of local actors in the project as likewise important factors to increase public acceptance.

One can notice that there are exceptions the German citizens had regarding their acceptance of windpower, namely using local contractors and cheaper energy.

The fact that cheaper energy is not forthcoming negates the survey that Germans support windpower.
