Trump bemoans 'stigma' of impeachment
By Justine Coleman - 01/12/20 12:17 PM EST

President Trump in a tweet on bemoaned the “stigma” of impeachment, as Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) prepares to send House-passed articles of impeachment against him  to the Senate as early as this week.

The president in his post again condemned House Democrats  for impeaching him and claiming that he did “NOTHING wrong.”

"Why should I have the stigma of Impeachment attached to my name when I did NOTHING wrong?" he asked.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

The core reason Trump is being impached has nothing to do w/right and wrong.
It's simply because he is detested in DC by virtually everyone because he cannot shut-up.
His family knew this 60+ years ago yet his persona never changed.

It's just a pre ordained conclusion in todays political climate, a Repub getting impeached.  Had Cruz somehow been elected that bitch in the House would have impeached him also, not on the Russian/Ukraine $hit but they would have found something, his and Heidi's ties to Goldman Sachs perhaps.
At least with Cruz we would have got the Judges (Trump/Cruz deal for the endorsement), the deregulation, the strong economy, just without all the excess drama   (edited) AND the spending!

Since the articles are as substantial as wet toilet paper and done in an anti-constitutional manner, Trump has every right to want them expunged. There is a mechanism to have the fake charges dismissed, making the impeachment null and void. I've heard this discussed several times by Mark Levin and Alan Dershowitz.

Many believe that by the Senate giving credence to a trial based on the no evidence, no crime, read the transcripts, “no pressure”  Impeachment Hoax, rather than an outright dismissal, it gives the partisan Democrat Witch Hunt credibility that it otherwise does not have. I agree!

The dismissal can be handled in pretrial motions obviating the need for a trial and ending the whole charade. At first I wanted a full blown trial, but I think it's best to give as little attention as possible. Of course, we know the dims will be back with more bogus charges. But they can only do so for a few more months until they're voted out and the Republicans restore sanity to the House.

There should be no trial where there has been no crime.

Anything but dismissal would only lend credence to the farsical pile of BS the Democrats have heaped upon America.... while giving them a chance to perpetuate the kabuki theater insanity.

End it now..... as soon as possible.... so the president can get back to concentrating on important things.   Combating America's "other" enemies.
No quarter given to the enemy within...ever.

I think in the end the process will be the same as Clinton's:   the House presents its case (based on the articles and the testimony used in the full House impeachment vote) and the President's attorneys and minority House members present the defense.  The Senators submit written questions and vote on further witnesses.  I'm guessing further witnesses will then be voted down ... and it will proceed to a final vote on impeachment itself.

I'm curious to see how the three Senators running for the dim nomination for President will vote on further witnesses (the Iowa caucus is Feb 3).  Sanders and Warren have a shot at winning Iowa, but each day the trial goes on they're off the campaign trail.  Klobuchar needs a strong showing in Iowa to move onto New Hampshire.

I would be pleasantly surprised if McConnell offers a motion to change the rules and dismiss the case ... because he may not have the votes for this.

Victoria 33,
Allow me to share a brief story w/you.
My eldest sister, now deceased, was good friends w/Maryanne and Elizabeth Trump,
his eldest sisters; from their mutual days in Jamaica, New York; very long ago.
When they had their collective chats, the stories I heard about Donald were hair raising
which is why their mother insisted he go to military school as an early teen.
Alas, nothing ever changed which is why his mother labeled him 'incorrigible',
some 60 years ago, in the Trump Family's authorized biography.
Stay well!

Trump bemoans 'stigma' of impeachment

He needs to wear it as a Badge of Honor of battle.  I have made it clear, that I do not approve of this POTUS about half the time, but what we have seen in the past 3 years is a systematic, prmeditated, political assassination and coup.  Everybody realizes this and until the treasonous dims can muster up 67 senators, they can pound sand.

What the stupid left also doesn't realize, is that those conservatives like me who are lukewarm on Trump, are rising in support.  This shit is backfiring on them 10 fold.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

If that happened I would have to think Trump was the antichrist.
