Maxine Waters: Trump’s Mental Health an Impeachment Consideration

While laying out a case for President Donald Trump’s impeachment during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Kasie DC” on Sunday, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) raised questions about Trump’s mental health as one of her arguments.

Waters called Trump “a liar” and told host Kasie Hunt there were issues dealing with the president’s mental health, noting psychiatrists have previously diagnosed him from afar.

“[W]e know several things about this president,” she said. “We know he’s a liar. We know that it has been documented by The Washington Post that he’s lied thousands of times. I think it’s over 15,000 times that they’ve actually documented. We know that there is a matter of trust. We also know that from afar, you’ve had psychiatrists wondering about his mental stability. We know that the president tweets. We know that he basically makes up his mind. He said he knows more than his generals know.”

“So, American people need to know what we’re dealing with here because it is not about which party they are going to align themselves with,” Waters added. “It’s whether or not they can trust the president of the United States, whether or not he’s a liar, whether or not he’s a — mental health is good. It is whether or not he’s presidential, yes.”

Maxine Waters is the stereotypical self serving carpet bagger, and on her best day a buffoon.  She has zero credibility in my book.

She should be investigated for the nearly $20 million her and her husband absconded with in 2008 with the bailout!!!

And as far as any psychiatrist is concerned, they have less validity than she does.  No doctor worth a good BM would diagnose a patient without the normal process for exams.  Whoever she is listening to is a hack.

And that's the problem, Max.  No one has made a definitive diagnosis based on an actual examination.  These psychiatrists' opinions are about as good as mine.  I suspect he has some mental health issues, but I never examined him either.

So, Max, how are you going to impeach Trump for mental health issues without an actual examination and medical opinion from a reputable mental health expert?  Are you going to try to force Trump to submit to such an examination?  If so, good luck with that.

Remember back in the 1960s or 70s when Bill Ayers and his gang proposed gulag-type camps for anyone who opposed their Marxist takeover of America? I have to think he would have included sending "political prisoners" to mental institutions, just like the USSR.

So, Waters' rhetoric is nothing more than trash talk.  I could argue that her general level of idiocy is cause to put her in a padded room. 

Fact is, the American people do not trust Congress, and they take any step against this president in an effort to protect Iran, that will just add more votes in November.  Iran is a rogue nation, and the very last thing this nation needs is an effort to tie the hands of our president to respond to aggression against our nation.  Both sides of the aisle of Congress are self serving idiots.

Ok, but did that doctor ever test Trump for mental fitness?  Never heard that he did.

I get an annual exam -- my insurance nags me to do it -- as part of that exam, I'm asked a few questions like who is the president, what day it is, can I draw a clock face showing 2:00, etc.  Very cursory tests for memory loss, I think.  Perhaps Trump has had those tests, but I doubt he has had a thorough mental health assessment.

I see no sign of mental illness.  He is a billionaire that hasn't answered to anyone most of his life.  He has a caustic nature, is belligerent, and attacks those that attack him.  I do not consider that a mental illness.  In fact, I would rather have someone like him demanding the world start carrying their share rather than continue the free ride they have enjoyed.  He is doing exactly what he was elected to do.  He is not a tea and crumpets fool like Bush.
