US suspends training Iraqi troops to focus on base security in wake of Soleimani killing

The U.S.-led coalition combating ISIS in Iraq and Syria announced Sunday that U.S. troops were pausing the training of Iraqi troops as threats to coalition troops housed at Iraqi bases persist.

Following Saturday’s rocket attack on the Balad Air Base and an indirect fire attack in Baghdad, officials with Operation Inherent Resolve say there have now been 13 attacks against bases housing American forces.

“As a result we are now fully committed to protecting the Iraqi bases that host Coalition troops. This has limited our capacity to conduct training with partners and to support their operations against Daesh and we have therefore paused these activities, subject to continuous review,” OIR said in a news release.

I know "Blue on green" terrorist acts have been a problem in Afghanistan.  If it is in Iraq too, then we need to make this permanent as we pull out.

Time to pack up and pull out. 

Iraq fell into the hands of Iran when Obama was POTUS.  Remember, he strongly indicated he would side with islam over the USA.  That statement alone should have had him removed from office within 24 hours, but no one dared lay a glove on him or anyone in his administration.  The USA paid for his policies in the hundreds of billions, and became the largest source of funds for blatent terrorism in the world.

Someone must destroy Iran.  It will be either Israel or the USA.  Iran would be smart to lay low, wait for their brother Shia to fully kick the USA out of Iraq, and the two countries jointly prepare to launch a war on Israel.  And Israel should strike Iran in a massive strike that would paralyze the country for half a century.  Otherwise, the Israelis face a 4th war with multiple arab states in the next five years.
