Got to say it again:
Demography is destiny.
Unless the demographics that control that destiny are kept under strict control, they will change and in doing so change the country, irreversibly. As is happening NOW.
There was a time in the sensibilities of Americans (and in the Congress) when this was well-understood. Hence the laws that essentially ended immigration in the mid 1920's. Hence the laws that essentially "excluded" Asians.
But that was another time.
It ended in 1965.
And now the country is changed forever.
Fifty years from now, the countries that today recognize the importance of protecting their ethnic makeups and cultures will still exist.
Japan is an example.
But the America of our memories -- and even the America of today -- will be gone.
