During an appearance late Saturday on Fox News’ “Watters World,” retiring North Carolina. Rep. Mark Meadows offered another dose of indisputable evidence that the House Democrats’ impeachment efforts are rooted solely in politics.

Asked by host Jesse Watters to describe how Democrats have been behaving behind the scenes, away from the partisan media’s cameras, the Republican lawmaker revealed that they’ve been un-somberly partying it up like it’s 1999.

“A lot of the democrats were wearing black trying to put on this PR stuff as if this was a somber mood … [but] I can tell you, they’re high-fiving in the hallway if they’re from a real Democrat district, a real progressive district,” he revealed.

To which Watters replied, “That’s pretty selfish [that] these deep blue Democrat district representatives are out there high-fiving, fist-bumping, celebrating, spiking the football.”
