House Dems are upset that their flimsy case against the president may not get the attention they think it deserves in the Senate. They have all heard that McConnell thinks they have no case, and they hate that he is right. So some House Dems are demanding that Mitch McConnel recuse himself, now that he has claimed that he is not an impartial juror.

“Democrats, increasingly desperate to either avoid a Senate trial altogether or to conform the Senate trial to their whims and needs, are now pressuring Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who will run operations once the impeachment enters a Senate trial phase, to “recuse” himself because he cannot be an “impartial juror.”

Dem Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) told CNN late Tuesday that she and other Democrats are preparing to request that McConnell step down from his role overseeing the Senate trial or Democrats will be forced to declare a “mistrial,” abandon the impeachment process, and re-impeach the President when the opportunity presents itself again.

Mitch already called what the rats are doing "comical".   I can't imagine ever coming to a point where I look back at what they're doing and think of it as funny... in any way.

I think McConnell should have a vote day one back in Congress in 2020, as to whether the House presented any evidence that warrants impeachment, and a NO vote would mean to sh*tcan the whole nonsense.  End it in one day, and let's make 2020 a year without the Democommie nonsense.

I think that is the plan. It would be as if there is a tort case against some company, and the plaintiff and the prosecutor refuse to show up unless the Judge will guarantee beforehand to rule in the plaintiff's favor. Pelosi is making absurd demands specifically because she wants this to go away.

Pelosi knows she pulled the trigger that will shoot many out of her caucus, and perhaps, she is not unhappy about many of them becoming road kill with the next election.

I say the Republicans gain voting majorities in both houses with perhaps a record landslide victory for Trump.  Remember, he was down 7 points going into election day in 2016, and he won.
