Trump rails against 'partisan impeachment crusade' in 6-page letter to Pelosi

President Trump wrote a six-page letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi attacking the impeachment inquiry by Democrats, saying she had "cheapened the importance of the very ugly word."

Trump complained in the expansive letter Tuesday about how he was treated unfairly as Democrats investigated him for pressuring Ukraine for probe Democrats, and he attacked each of the two articles of impeachment against him as baseless.

The House is expected to begin debate Wednesday on impeaching Trump. Democrats are believed to have enough votes to impeach him, but he is likely to be acquitted next year by the Senate, where 67 votes are needed to remove a president.
