Dud: 52% say don't impeach Trump even after hearings

So much for the impeachment hearings.

One of the first polls taken after the House Intelligence Committee hearings ended showed no change in the public’s appetite to impeach President Trump.

The fresh numbers in the Marquette Law School Poll, shared with Secrets, said 52% in Wisconsin are against impeaching Trump and 40% want it done and the president removed from office.

In November, the numbers were essentially the same, 53% against impeaching and removing Trump, to 40% for impeaching and removing.

“In October, before public hearings began, 44 percent favored impeachment and removal from office, while 51 percent were opposed and 4 percent said they didn’t know,” said the Wisconsin school poll.

Given pollsters' recently demonstrated "skills" at sampling ...... :silly: .
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

I really don't think the majority of Americans are paying a darn bit of attention to any of this. If there was some bombshell about some really dirty dirt that people can understand it might be different. For instance...Monica and Bill.  Most people, myself included, that watch this sham just see a bunch of pols mouthing.* Then their eyes glaze over.

The people that love Trump will still love him. The people that hate Trump will still hate him.

Signed,

I was unwrapping some new kitchen cabinets that I'm gonna install tomorrow and a neighbor I hadn't seen in awhile, was walking down my secluded street, he asked me about this Impeachment $hit just as my mailman arrived~I said I've seen that movie too and was tired of it, they both nodded in agreement*

Keep on pushin', you democrat-communists.

At the rate things are going, the numbers may hit 55% or even higher before too much longer.

What will his popularity rise to after the Senate tosses out the charges??

The longer the stupid dims draw this thing out, the angrier the American people will become.  I think Trump's chances of winning increase each day this stupid impeachment progresses.

Look at today's UK election.  Lot more parlllels than people realize.

Could you be more angry with the rats?  Can any Trumper get more angry?

I think I can't hate Trump more, though I often exceed my expectations, but I can only vote once because I have principles, and I'm unmotivated to do more than complain with vicious snark.  Are you motivated to donate or volunteer this year?

I don't know about "anger" but many of those not wallowing in irrational hatred will see impeachment as vindictive overkill for the kind of innocent mistake any politically-inexperienced  president could make without even realizing it - basically a life sentence for a parking ticket. Many more will agree with Turley that there may be a case to be made but the hatred-blinded dems weren't willing to take the time to make it. Many will see the inherent unfairness of a hyper-partisan process.  And many will be uncomfortable with the way this trivializes and weaponizes impeachment to the point where future presidents could face it at any time when trying to deal with an opposition House - e.g. by this standard Holder's refusal to appear would have constituted impeachable obstruction. Many will think that the dems should have at least made a show of considering a lesser rebuke before going all-in on impeachment. And finally, many won't buy the phony urgency of removing Trump so close to the time when voters themselves will have the opportunity to exercise their right to decide his fate.

Edit> And though they'll never admit it, even many of the haters are enjoying a holiday season brimming with far more prosperity and optimism than they ever could have hoped for under Clinton.

I have been a vocal Trump critic at TBR, but also realize that for the first time since 1972, a true socialist POTUS candiate might get the nomination.  I know it is a cliche' when it is stated that "This is the most important election of our lifetime".  If a Warren or Sanders is nominated......    It's not a cliche anymore.  These people are dangerous, and sometimes you may not  like your leader, but the alternative might be 10X worse.

I will be voting for Donald Trump next November.

"even after hearings?"

Because of the hearings, IMO.

Fair enough @catfish1957 and points for your awareness of the "most important election" cliche.  You, like many other Americans, will be voting for President Trump out of fear of what the rats will do to you.  I recognize that as a valid argument.  I'm curious if next month, after the rats impeach President Trump but fail to remove him in the Senate, do you think the rats can enrage you enough to actively work towards re-elect President Trump with donations of money or time?  Are you already at that point?

It's only natural that voters who identify as independents are turned off by hyper-partisanship. The actual vote won't matter to them - by now they've decided for themselves whether Trump's indiscretion constitutes true evil intent or is just another case of careless lack of discipline. If the former, they weren't going to vote for him in any case. If the latter, they'll likely see a vote to impeach as the overly harsh purely political vendetta that 99% of us here see it as, and having been punished far out of proportion to his non-crime he deserves to be judged on the basis of his considerable accomplishments. Dems OTOH risk being judged not only on the lack of substance in their charges but also on the total lack of fairness in the process.
