Security guard stabbed, woman struck with vehicle near National Shrine in Northeast D.C.

Police say a man stabbed a security guard and struck a woman with a vehicle Tuesday morning at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Northeast Washington.

The incident began about 9 a.m., police said, when the security guard was stabbed in the face and the suspect fled in a vehicle, D.C. police said. The suspect then struck a woman with the vehicle, authorities said.

D.C. police said the man fled to a house in the 1300 block of Sheridan Street near Georgia Avenue NW in the Brightwood neighborhood, barricading himself inside. SWAT teams are on the scene, police said.

Police say a man stabbed a security guard and struck a woman with a vehicle Tuesday morning at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Northeast Washington.

The incident began about 9:15 a.m., police said, when the suspect struck a woman with a vehicle, then stabbed the male security guard several times in the face inside the shrine before he fled.

Not really. It says in the article the man and the woman involved were having "domestic problems".

Hell,if it were possible to trace it back that far,I am guessing "domestic problems/arguments" was the basis for the very first murder. Maybe even the very first "pissed off".
