Esper on Pensacola attack: Can't say it's terrorism at this time

(CNN)Investigators have found no apparent ties between the Saudi Arabian military officer who killed three people at a US Navy base in Florida on Friday and terrorist groups, according to a senior administration official and a law enforcement source.

There have been some concerning statements and online materials discovered, but the investigation is still young, the administration official said.

Late Saturday, the Navy identified the three students in the aviation school that were killed:

So is this going to be dubbed "workplace violence" instead of terrorism?  Obama would be thrilled. *****rollingeyes*****

Officials Continue Investigating Gunman’s Motive in Navy Base Attack

During school breaks, he would travel home to Saudi Arabia, the Pentagon officials said. When he returned to the United States in February, friends and colleagues noticed that he had become more religious, said the person briefed on the investigation. It was not immediately clear what he did between February and this week, when he signed into his new training unit in Pensacola, but he had been living in the area.

1. "Not immediately clear....". It's a pretty basic task to account for the whereabouts of all military personnel. Are the Saudis operating under "special treatment? "
2. "School breaks" for students are limited to 96 hours max and subject to distance limitations. Cannot imagine international travel would be authorized.

"Investigators have found no apparent ties between the Saudi Arabian military officer who killed three people at a US Navy base in Florida on Friday and terrorist groups, according to a senior administration official and a law enforcement source."

Hand them this quote:
"Every 'moderate' Muslim is a potential terrorist. The belief in Islam is like a tank of gasoline. It looks innocuous, until it meets the fire. For a 'moderate' Muslim to become a murderous jihadist, all it takes is a spark of faith.
It is time to put an end to the charade of "moderate Islam." There is no such thing as moderate Muslim. Muslims are either jihadists or dormant jihadists - moderate, they are not."
