Trump’s Approval Jumps to 52% Same Day Pelosi Announces Impeachment Will Proceed
By Craig Bannister | December 5, 2019 | 1:07pm EST

On Thursday – the same day House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced Democrats will proceed with articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump – the president’s approval jumped to 52%, its highest level in more than two months.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 52% of likely U.S. voters approve of President Trump’s job performance, while 47% disapprove. This represents a three percentage point improvement from the previous day, when 49% approved and 50% disapproved.

At 52%, Trump’s approval is the highest daily number since September 24th of this year (53% approved, 45% disapproved).

Thursday’s 52% approval was driven by men voicing strong approval of Trump (59%-40%). More women disapproved (53%) of the president than approved (46%).

President Donald Trump’s approval rating has risen to 52 percent among likely voters in the latest Presidential Tracking Poll from Rasmussen Reports.

Rasmussen found that just over half of likely voters approve of Trump’s job performance, though more voters strongly dislike his performance than strongly like it.

52 percent approve of Trump’s performance.
47 percent disapprove of Trump’s performance.
38 percent strongly approve of Trump’s performance.
40 percent strongly disapprove of Trump’s performance.

Former President Barack Obama’s approval rating at this point in his first term stood at 46 percent.

A Rasmussen poll released on November 26 shows:

46 percent approve of Trump’s performance.
    36 percent strongly approve.
    44 percent strongly disapprove.

Rasmussen polls 1,500 likely voters by phone nationwide, 500 per-day over three days, with a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percentage points.

And assuming the markets hold up, there will be lots of happy folks opening their annual 401k reports next month - it could bring a smile to even hardened socialists like Sanders and Warren.

Heck... if things keep goin' as they're goin', Mr. Trump's popularity could even soar to 54, 55 or even 56% by the time the Senate trial is over.

Assuming the Senate does not vote to convict, his approval will reach new highs and the democrat-communists will go positively ballistic at the results.
