If it happens, great. But you should take your blinders off - Trump largely won in 2016 because so many folks concluded he was the lesser of two evils. Maybe he can win on that basis again, if the Dems are stupid enough to nominate another born loser. But this time around, the Dems more than anyone want to make this a referendum on Trump the evil bogeyman
Trump cannot win with his base alone. But he appears to be governing for the base alone, and their us-vs-them anger. He is setting himself up for a fall. Better that fair warning be given now, than after the election when we'll all be feeling as "crushed" as Hillary did last time around.
This election needs to be focused on prosperity, jobs, immigration, judges and the left's threat to shared cultural values. You know, bedrock Republican/populist issues. The reality show, as much as Trump and his base loves it, is a poisonous distraction for everyone else.
