Sondland never knew why there had been a hold on foreign aid to Ukraine. For him, it was all about a call and meeting between President Trump and President Zelensky.

It's important to point out that Sondland is drawing his own conclusions without direct evidence.

This is key.   There is nothing untoward about wanting a quid pro quo for a photo-op.    The issue that matters is (i) whether the military aid was held up and (ii) if it was,  whether it was legitimate to do so pending evidence that Ukraine was going to turn over a new leaf regarding corruption.    That's why we need to hear from Hunter Biden.   Ukraine has for years been a rat's nest of corruption, and the issue of such corruption seems (at least to me) far more important when the subject is lethal military aid as opposed to Obama's MREs and blankets.

Biden should testify. But given the nature of these hearings I would expect nothing to come of it. In spite of the evidence he'll say he performed a valuable service for his 80k/mo and had nothing to do with his dad being VP. The media will unquestioningly nod and attack anyone who expresses skepticism.

The sides are dug in - one side trying to assert reality, the other political expediency. But they're dug they are.

That's funny/odd.   Because Sondland just told Demrat counsel that he never heard "those words" (ie any quid pro quo conditions) coming from Trump.   Kinda bolsters the GOP stance.   Another moronic and epic FAIL by the rats.  Ho hum.... this is getting tediously predictable.
