That line from Sondland - about how he never directly heard from the president conditioning aid on investigations announcement - is shaping up to be the lynchpin of the WH defense of the president. But it may not do anything for Pence, Pompeo, Mulvaney, etc.

Republicans now starting their 45 minute swath of questions for Sondland. Could be very interesting to see how Republicans handle Sondland since he is “their” witness and has testified he was acting on orders on behalf of the President and that in fact there was a quid pro quo.

Wow, Ken Starr making a strong case for obstruction and contempt of Congress charges on Fox right now. Cites Nixon. Says he's changed his mind on these proceedings. "It's over. There will be articles on impeachment."



I was shocked when I heard Starr say this...although they were always going to impeach Trump no matter what

It's unclear why this impeachment inquiry needs to continue

Trump is guilty of multiple impeachable offenses

The evidence does not come from the deep state

It comes from a call summary released by the White House and a guy who donated $1M to Trump's inauguration

So impeachment is a legal process now? I was told it was a political process, and that’s why Trump had no right to due process, why Republicans had no right to subpoena witnesses, and why Schiff was allowed to make up the rules as he went along.

Sondland is a complete mess. He contradicts himself every other sentence, invents conversations that never happened, and offers “guesses” that have been refuted on the record by every witness w/ first-hand knowledge. And this is the best witness Dems have?
