Itâ€™s hard to overhype how extraordinary Sondlandâ€™s testimony is. Every American needs to take 15 minutes today to watch or read it.

He lays out the corruption scheme in clear, easy to understand detail.

It was a clear quid pro quo, and the President directed it.

Sondland tries to explain why he's forgotten so many key details. He says is not a details guy, not a notetaker and that the State Dept. has blocked him from accessing emails/other records.

SONDLAND says GIULIANI was expressing desires of TRUMP: Rudy's "requests were a quid pro quo for
arranging a WH visit for President Zelensky.

"Mr. Giuliani demanded that Ukraine make a public statement announcing investigations of the 2016 election/DNC server and Burisma."

As US and Ukrainian officials met on 7/10, Giuliani was still working the back channel "without our knowledge," Sondland says.

1) Everyone was surprised. 2) Giuliani was working w/ "corrupt Ukrainian prosecutor Lutsenko" and discussing whether a Zelensky-Trump meeting was on

Amb. Gordon Sondland says "it's true" Trump "speaks loudly at times" and he has "no reason to doubt" testimony that Trump was overheard on call asking about investigations: "I would have been more surprised if Pres. Trump had not mentioned investigations"

Sondland has been given his marching orders by someone at state who will be there long after Trump leaves office and is complying with them because he LOVES his job above all things!.

The other common thread is that they weren't on the call. They've just "heard" what was said. Sondland wasn't on the 25 June call.

Sondland says he does NOT dispute Holmes' recollection that Trump doesn't "give a shit" about Ukraine and only cares about big stuff that benefits him personally.

"He made that clear in the May 23 meeting," Sondland says.

These guys feel comfortable validating on the stand an opinion of what the president thought. My opinion of them plummets.
