Border Patrol officials are giving President Donald Trump the credit for a nearly 100,000 drop in the number of apprehensions of migrants illegally crossing the border.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection released its Southwest Border Migration Report this week which indicated a drop of nearly 73 percent in apprehensions in the last five months, a shift that seems to be directly related to Trump’s policies.
