Police and firefighters responded to Saugus High School, about 30 miles north of Los Angeles. At least several people were shot, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The more cynical on twitter have observed the timing - the Dems have a bad day at the impeachment hearing, followed immediately by a school shooting. Demands for gun control to follow.

Fox is reporting suspect in custody



A suspect was in custody and being treated at a local hospital after a Thursday morning shooting that injured several people at Saugus High School, including two males and a female who were reportedly in critical condition, officials said.

"Suspect is in custody and being treated at a local hospital," Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva tweeted.

Santa Clarita is home to the Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park. The high school where this happened is 5 or 6 miles east of I-5 and the park.

I appreciate that this article differentiates the wounded shooter from his wounded victims. The shooter doesn't seem to fit at least some of the MSM's desired criteria, so this is likely this story will fade away from national MSM to local-story-hood.

With all due respect to the injured (and contempt for the evil shooter)... The only thing the democrat controlled media like more than impeaching Donald Trump is a story that conveniently deflects from yesterday’s nothing burger impeachment inquiry and obediently, reliably, focuses on a story to impeach...guns.

Oh, look at this shiny object. Yes, this sadly tragic event is going wall-to-wall in media coverage in a cynical move to cover for the sound of crickets after the first day of open impeachment hearings to remove the president of the United States.

My prayers for the victims of another senseless shooting.

There are national networks with local affiliates, Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC, radio 640 AM, KFI

People clammoring for fact checkers, in real time, not realistic.

ABC has an articulate 15 yr old girl--Adriana.

It made me recall being at school the day JFK was nurdered. The nation went into stunned mourning for a weekend.

Reports on the number and condition of victims, is changine--but one dead female still reported.

FYI Saugus HS is in the community named Santa Clarita, which is home to many public safety folks (police, fire, etc.)
