Brothers, sisters, come on down to that river
Guaranteed you'll never be the same
There's a fountain flowing from the heart of the Savior
Bring your sins and all your guilty stains
Let that river of life wash it all away

@corbe

my alarm clock woke me up to "Jeremiah was a bull frog" this morning.

I think it's been at least 25 years or more since I heard that song.

What SEEMS like gale force winds blowing in both ears, and drowning out the tv and everything else.

Who knew that simple little things like machine gun  fire, bomb explosions, grenades exploding, jet fighter/bombers shooting their chain guns on a gun  run before dropping Napalm cannisters, etc, etc, etc would have any effect on your hearing?

I should find a VERY greedy lawyer and sue NVN for damages.

BTW,I guess it's not NVN anymore. Must be some sort of "Ruling Class Peoples Republik."

I know they'll never forgive me.  I worked the War Ready Material Department making sure the B52's had bombs to drop on them during Linebacker I and II.  We bombed them to the Peace Table, unfortunately the State Dept f*cked that all up.

Her... and Linda Ronstadt...
If you liked Linda, you have to appreciate Karla Bonoff, who collaborated on many of her great songs.

The other day I heard on the radio "Lonely Boy" by Andrew Gold. When I got home, I pulled up a few more Andrew Gold songs on YouTube, which got me thinking about Linda Ronstadt, Karla, Andrew and Wendy Waldman - which sent me down the rabbit hole of listening to a lot more videos. I had forgotten how great Karla's voice is.

Santana   -  Open Invitation

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

One of my all time favorite Stevie songs:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8lVPMWLCBQ
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
