Levin: The Constitution trumps federal whistleblower law
Conservative Review, Nov 6, 2019

Tuesday night on the radio, LevinTV host Mark Levin talked about whether or not the American people should know the identity of the whistleblower behind the current attempt to impeach President Trump.

“The Constitution trumps any statute, including a whistleblower statute,” Levin explained. “The idea that the American people are just observers and not participants in this process is an abomination. It’s unconscionable.”

“This is about a constitutional system,” Levin stated, rebutting arguments about keeping the federal employee’s identity secret. “This is about an effort to use the whistleblower statute to remove a president of the United States over nothing.”

The host went onto explain that if a duly elected president of the United States is to be impeached, there are several questions that the American people deserve to have answered about the person whose complaint started the effort to do it.

“What, we have to wait till this clown writes a book a year or two or three from now?” Levin asked.
