The Helicopters That Made the U.S. Army's ISIS Raid Possible

The 160th Aviation Regiment is home to the U.S. Army’s best aviators—and helicopters.

U.S. helicopters in the al-Baghdadi Raid belonged to the elite 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

The 160th was set up after the failure of the U.S. hostage rescue mission in Iran.

The 160th operates a number of specialized helicopters in both transportation and attack roles.

They ARE all amongst the best and the bravest helicopter pilots and crewmen in the US Army, but they are far from being the only ones. There are many,MANY pilots and crewmen serving in other units who are just as good and just as courageous, but there are only so many slots available in the 160th,and people who may own homes and have an established life with a wife and children at other bases may not want to disrupt the lives of their families with a move.

It's not  taking anything away from the men of the 160th to say this.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!
