New York lawmakers will consider a ban on tackle football for children 12 and younger — as new research has linked playing the sport from a young age to a higher probability of suffering from degenerative brain disease.

Members of the state Assembly’s health committee heard testimony in Manhattan on Tuesday from those who support the ban — including a former college football player — as well as opponents of the measure. ...

Truth of the matter, full contact football is probably safer for chillun under the age of 12 than for other age groups....  players aren't as fast, nor are they as heavy....

In a related matter, I saw another study that found the more years children attend public schools, the more likely they are to suffer from the emotional, spiritual, and mental malady called progressivism, later in life....

There was a teacher employed by my kids’ Lutheran primary school, Mrs Stevens was her name, who got very nervous around spirited boys and wouldn’t let the kids compete in conventional sports.
Instead of baseball she’d have the kids scream at the top of their lungs, play ‘wombat ball’ or have three legged races. Football horrified her.

Today there are an army of Mrs Stevens out there and I think they’re running everything.
