George Papadopoulos running for seat left vacant after Katie Hill resignation

George Papadopoulos, the former Trump campaign adviser who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI during the Trump-Russia investigation, has filed paperwork to run for Rep. Katie Hill’s former congressional seat.
According to a Tuesday filing with the Federal Election Commission, the 32-year-old Papadopoulos is seeking the seat left vacant after Hill resigned.
Hill, a California Democrat, announced the resignation earlier this week after news emerged about her relationship with a female campaign staffer and allegations of a relationship with her legislative director. Nude photos of Hill, also 32, surfaced recently.
