House to vote this week on impeachment inquiry procedures
By Cristina Marcos - 10/28/19 03:37 PM EDT

House Democrats are setting up a vote this week on their impeachment inquiry as they move closer to a public phase of the investigation.

Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), the chairman of the House Rules Committee, said Monday that he will introduce a resolution this week to "ensure transparency" and "provide a clear path forward" in the impeachment inquiry.

The text of the resolution has yet to be released, but McGovern plans to introduce it Tuesday ahead of a markup in his committee Wednesday.

This would be the first formal vote on the new impeachment process by the House since Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) threw her support behind an inquiry in September.

Interesting. Ooooh... looks like Nancy being kept out of the loop on Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi pizzed her off!  Trump just announced that the leader of ISIS was killed and she's going to take up a vote for impeachment.  Nancy's timing is impeccable.   :rolling:

Pelosi says House will vote this week on resolution formalizing impeachment procedures

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Monday the House will vote this week on a resolution that would formalize procedures for the Trump impeachment inquiry.

“We are taking this step to eliminate any doubt as to whether the Trump Administration may withhold documents, prevent witness testimony, disregard duly authorized subpoenas, or continue obstructing the House of Representatives," Pelosi said in a letter sent to Democratic House lawmakers.

Fox News has learned the vote will take place Thursday on the House floor.........

Real impeachment hearings? In public? Where Rs can cross-examine witnesses freely? And call witnesses? And transcript will be public and people can compare claims to what was actually said? Bring it! The Ds will likely relearn why they used their Star Chamber tactics.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

I'll believe the democommies will have a fair process, like was done with Clinton and Nixon, when I see it. So far, it's a headline, nothing more. I wonder how they can vote on procedures before voting to have an inquiry. More commie BS.
Principles matter. Words matter.

Yep, they are voting on "procedures" -- how the DEMS can side-step the GOP and get the votes they need for impeachment and certainly no 'evidence' or witnesses will be able to be examined by the GOP.

It’s been 34 days since Nancy Pelosi unilaterally declared her impeachment inquiry.

Today’s backtracking is an admission that this process has been botched from the start.

We will not legitimize the Schiff/Pelosi sham impeachment.

House Democrats now suddenly saying they'll vote on an impeachment resolution to “ensure transparency” is rich—considering they've spent weeks conducting interviews in secret, leaking their own talking points while locking down any and all information that benefits the President

A vote now is a bit like un-Ringing a bell as House Democrats have selectively leaked information in order to damage President @realDonaldTrump for weeks.

@mystery-ak

mystery, they are voting on the procedures/rules for bringing the results of the investigation to the full house.

"A resolution on the impeachment process will be considered by the Rules Committee on Wednesday, the committee’s chairman, Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA), announced Monday. The text of the resolution has not been released in full yet."

“As committees continue to gather evidence and prepare to present their findings, I will be introducing a resolution to ensure transparency and provide a clear path forward, which the Rules Committee will mark up this week,”McGovern said in his announcement."

"Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said in a letter to her caucus that the resolution “establishes the procedure for hearings that are open to the American people, authorizes the disclosure of deposition transcripts, outlines procedures to transfer evidence to the Judiciary Committee as it considers potential articles of impeachment, and sets forth due process rights for the President and his Counsel.”
