Pelosi releases 'fact sheet' saying Trump has 'betrayed his oath of office'
By Cristina Marcos - 10/21/19 03:29 PM EDT

Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) office on Monday released a "fact sheet" laying out what Democrats believe is their most compelling evidence to date against President Trump in their investigation of the president's efforts to pressure the Ukrainian government to investigate a domestic political rival.

"President Trump has betrayed his oath of office, betrayed our national security and betrayed the integrity of our elections for his own personal political gain," the document states in laying out how Democrats are likely to try to make their case in the impeachment inquiry.

The four-page document divides the narrative into three categories: the "shakedown," "the pressure campaign" and "the cover up."

This “impeachment inquiry” is literally being held in the basement of the Capitol Building.

Republicans can’t subpoena witnesses.

Republicans can’t see the transcripts.

White House / Agency lawyers can’t be present.

THIS IS A COUP!

The Republicans on the committees are there when they meet.  This is not a trial with both sides presenting their case - it is an investigation only.  When the investigation is finished (will be soon I think because they want this over before January), the evidence is given to the entire House for discussion, rebuke, etc., both Democrats and Republicans can say/report anything they want. Then a vote will be taken to impeach or not (indict or not).  If he is impeached (indicted), the trial is in the Senate with both sides presenting witnesses, evidence, etc.  This is the way this process works.  One may not like the process but it is what it is as written in the US Constitution.

Clinton: Happened just this way when an investigation was done, believe it was the House Judiciary Committee leading this investigation; the House was presented with the evidence, and impeached Clinton and had the trial in the Senate and he was not convicted and removed from office; he completed his term as president.  Happened this way for Nixon but he resigned to avoid being removed from office when his congress Republicans told him, he would be impeached, convicted, removed from office because the Republicans would vote with the Democrats to remove him from office.

I glanced at the first section of Pelosi's paper. It is supposed to be Trump's own words, but there are lots of "..." and paragraph breaks. That means that sentences and phrases have been ripped out of context and rearranged to support a narrative the full transcript contradicts. Seen this shit before, and its stench is still foul. Pelosi published lies relying on normal people not comparing her claims to the actual transcript. Par for the Dem course.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

A quibble:  The investigation that was done prior to Clinton's impeachment wasn't done by a House Committee, it was done by Ken Starr, authorized by the Special Prosecutor law.  The House then, based on his report, formalized the Impeachment Inquiry by a floor vote.  Trump's "Ken Starr" was Mueller and he did not recommend any charges like Starr did.

Pelosi is not following the same procedures used previously, she's making this one up along the way, and Schiff is violating what's there by selectively leaking testimony.  If a real Prosecutor did that with a Grand Jury, he'd be disbarred and looking at jail time possibly.  Your comparisons don't hold up.

...but her hatred for the president does. Probably hold up right up to January 20, 2025.
