And Anibal Sanchez is the first postseason ever to throw six no-hit innings in back-to-back starts . . . even if his first one was as a Tiger a few years ago . . .

Sanchez gives him a gesture of congratulations before he's lifted from the game . . . 2-0 Nationals, the Cardinals one on and two out bottom of the eighth . . . hell of a performance by Sanchez tonight . . . Sean Doolittle pitching now for the Nats, asked for a four-out save . . .

Maybe he wanted to be sure Sanchez would shoot for the no-hitter knowing nobody else but Doolittle could be really trusted out of the pen if he couldn't be there . . .  ./s

They only expected...we only expected six-innings tops from Anibal Sanchez.

Compared to the 'Aces', he throws slop...er, excuse me, "butterfly" change-ups. 

The team that scored 10 runs out of the gate against the Braves, has now gone a 1-1/2 games without scoring.

You show them assorted speeds even with a lack of speed and you know what you're doing out there, and your slop is just as good as someone else's bullets. Maybe better, considering the Cardinals hit the balls so softly Sanchez might as well have been throwing Wiffle balls up there.
