U.S. Supreme Court to decide whether a Christian student should be forced to cite Islamic conversion prayer in a public school

In May, 2019, the Thomas More Law Center asked the Supreme Court to decide how far schools can go to promote Islam while disparaging Christianity.

Thomas More Law Center  Now, that Christian high school student who was urged by a teacher to recite the Islamic Creed is back in the headlines. CBN News reported in May that her case had been appealed to the US Supreme Court. Now we’ve discovered the girl’s plea is on the high court’s online docket which shows it has been distributed for a conference at the court on Oct. 11.

Under separation of church and state, how can the islamic conversion prayer be said anyway?  Still, I think the liberals on the court, plus John Roberts, will allow it.

IMO, while summarizing a religion's tenets - whether Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hindu, etc. - can be a valid exercise in some school classes, forcing the recitation of the Apostle's Creed, Shema, or Shahada (or similar confession/creed) would violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.

The Fourth Circuit ruled in favor of the high school, holding that the challenged coursework materials, “viewed in the context in which they were presented, did not violate Caleigh’s First Amendment rights, because they did not impermissibly endorse any religion and did not compel Caleigh to profess any belief.” The Supreme Court’s refusal to take up the case lets the lower court ruling stand.

I will just save them all a lot of time and trouble by pointing out it is established law that religion can't be taught in public schools. This means that you can not force Christian,or even Heathen (my tribe) children to accept Muslim religious training any more than we can force Muslim children to accept Christian or Heathen religious training.

U.S. SUPREME COURT SUBMITS TO ISLAM…declines to hear the case of a public school teacher who required her students to recite the Islamic ‘conversion prayer’ or risk receiving a failing grade

The Thomas More Law Center is defending Caleigh Wood, a Christian student in 11th grade at La Plata High School in La Plata, Maryland. Wood refused to deny her faith “by making a written profession of the Muslim conversion prayer known as the shahada – ‘There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah,’” Thomas More said. And what you might not know, if you recite the shahada three times in a row, you are automatically converted to Islam.

WND  The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the teacher did not violate the Establishment Clause.

Wood also had been forced to view a series of Islam-promoting PowerPoint slides, including one casting aspersions on Christians that said, “Most Muslims’ faith is stronger than the average Christian.” The teacher’s actions were condemned in court by the high school’s content specialist, Jack Tuttle.

You can bet your sweet a##es if muslim students were required to write the Lord's Prayer, all hell would break loose and the 4th Circuit would rule against the teacher and, again, the Supreme Soviet would decline to get involved.
