Take 18 U.S. Code § 872: “Extortion by officers or employees of the United States.”

...

2 U.S. Code § 192, “Refusal of witness to testify or produce papers,”

...

18 U.S. Code § 610, which covers that crime rather clearly under the title: “Coercion of political activity.”

...

18 U.S. Code § 607, “Place of solicitation,” and 52 U.S. Code § 30121, “Contributions and donations by foreign nationals.”

This is my first time seeing anyone actually cite the laws...But ultimately it's all about what can actually by proven...

Actually it would be Biden, Shrillary and Obozo that have broken those laws. Nice try once again thank you for playing.

How so? I think the best defense might be plausible deniability.

Except that they don't apply in this situation.

I think the best defense is to openly laugh at the utter transparency of this political charade.

Honestly, it's long past time to stop taking the morons pushing this sh*t seriously.

Since when has that ever mattered to the one who posted this rubbish from the Intercept?

Ah.... more of the same, I see.   Idiocy abounds on this forum lately.... and I suspect it is only going to get worse.

Since the transcript of that call was released, we all know what was said during the call... and since we all know that no extortion or coercion occurred, these bogus claims of laws broken by Trump are just that... bogus, outlandish and blatant lies.

But the left, as it gets more and more desperate over the next year, will do and say anything, no matter how farcical and asinine, in their efforts to destroy Trump and regain power.

My patience with the stupidity displayed here and elsewhere on the net is long-gone ("Poof").  So I hereby apologize to the forum pre-rant and prematurely for all the times that I will no doubt 'go off' and 'lose it' due to this ongoing stupidity during this period of insanity and idiocy.  It's going to be a long haul.

I'm with you. All of this hand wringing and worried debate following every turd tossed out by the rat media is tiresome. Why we continually allow them to set the context and terms of discussion is beyond me.

Have your read the text messages before the call? The call, to me, was coercion/extortion

@XenaLee

I KNOW I am going to get slammed for stating the obvious, but it IS the truth. The "Church Ladies" of both genders HATE Trump with a passion because he DARES to get divorced and replace  his aging model wife with a younger model wife, and because he allegedly "grabs women by the ....".

World War,famine, the survival of the species, and even flatulence at the dinner table are mere minor matters compared to all dat.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!

Let me help with that slamming.   The so-called "Church Ladies" that you speak of (ad nauseam) has nothing, zip, zilch, nada to do with my post there.  Normally, I might say "try again", but I'm considering the source here, so never (ever) mind.

@skeeter  And it is only going to get worse the closer to election day that we get.

Get's any worse and I am going to have to start checking the header every day to make sure I'm not hooked up to Dummy Underground.

Just joking. I did register there once, but somehow they actually managed to ban me within minutes of me making my first post, which was simply to ask a question. Nobody even had time to reply.

Lol.   Thank you for cementing my point and justifying my rant (one of many to come, no doubt).

Think of me as Joe Voter. From the outside looking in, all I've heard about/read the transcript and heard about/read the text messages.

That looks bad and it matches with what I heard about/read from the whistleblower.

Why wouldn't I, Joe Voter, think he might be guilty of coercion/extortion or something like that.

Thats the game isn't it. Throw enough sh*t at the wall and maybe someone will notice.

There's nothing we can do about the corrupt rat media. To hell with playing defense all the time. Thats just what they want us to do.
