When Masculinity Turns ‘Toxic’: A Gender Profile Of Mass Shootings

From January 2013 to August 2019, there were 11 shooting rampages in California in which the perpetrator indiscriminately shot victims in public places and killed three or more people, according to an open source database maintained by the nonprofit news organization Mother Jones. Nine of those mass shootings involved a sole male suspect, one involved a sole female suspect, and one involved a male and a female couple.

Nationwide, there were 53 indiscriminate mass shootings in public areas during that time, and all but three involved male suspects. (The Mother Jones database excludes murders motivated by robbery, gang violence or domestic abuse in private homes.)

How would you treat men for their psychological issues that drive them to murder random people in mass public shootings?

A psychologist at every school perhaps? Confidence classes? How to Deal with Rejection classes? Diversity training like they do at work?

Yeah, most of them were adults...but maybe if they had all of that help in their youth they wouldn't have turned out the way the did

Some sort of liability for doctors that over prescribe medications treating hyperactivity, ADHD, etc  to those who’ve engaged in mass shootings.

As higher education and journalism apiral down the crapper, it is aunlikely we'll see high quallity statistics.

One side says the drugs turn them into killers, while...

the other side says they need the meds.

I doubt that either can be proved at this time.

And I don't trust acadamia or the media, to present fair, unbiased study results.

You are right, but its plain they’re over prescribed and a suspiciously high number of young mass shooters were taking them when they went on their rampages.
