The OTHER 9/11–the one that freed Chile from Soviet/Cuban conquest–and in the VERY NICK of TIME!
September 12, 2019 by Humberto Fontova

â€œWe’re following the example of the Cuban Revolution and counting on the support of her militant internationalism … represented by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. Armed conflict in continental terms remains as relevant today as ever!” (Salvador Allende’s minister Carlos Altamirano, January, 1971)

After assuming power in 1970 (with roughly the same percentage of votes as Hitler garnered in Germany in 1933) Salvador Allende’s regime’s true colors were not long in manifesting.

Chilean Senator Salvador Allende and Che Guevara

...

Above: Pinochet’s forces give communists a taste of their own medicine on 9-11-73.  Anti-communist Chileans react by burning pictures of Allende, Castro and Che Guevara…In very short order Chile became prosperous and free.)

Never in the field of human conflict have so few airstrikes been so effective a weapon for nation-building.  (I refer to Pinochet’s couple of air-strikes against the bunker of Cuban-Soviet apparatchiks and their Chilean charges holed up in Chile’s Presidential palace on 9-11–1973 while plotting the further Castro-fication of Chile.)

That last photo is of Thatcher (obviously) and Pinochet,  should  you not be aware of how he looked.
